Dramatic photo of Gene Cernan saluting the United States flag, implanted into the lunar surface during the Apollo 17 mission. 14'' x 11'' semi-matte photo is mounted to board measuring 20'' x 16'', upon which Cernan signs in felt tip, ''Gene Cernan / Apollo XVII''. Very faint ink mark to left edge of mat, and a few spots of extremely light discoloration, otherwise near fine.
