In this sketch, Garth Williams draws Fern's reaction to her father's plan to kill Wilbur in this preliminary pencil illustration for E.B. White's 1952 children's book ''Charlotte's Web''. Williams initials the 3.75'' x 11'' page fragment ''GW'' at the lower right and numbers it ''3.16325'' on the verso. Minor creasing, else near fine condition.
