"Franklin D. Roosevelt" signed document, signed again, "Fran" as President. Registration from the DMV in Hyde Park, New York is stamped with the date of 30 December 1939 and applies to FDR's custom automobile, a 1936 Ford Phaeton specially equipped with manual controls enabling the wheelchair-bound President to operate it. The document is twice-signed as Roosevelt had started his signature "Fran" in a box at the bottom labeled, "Do Not Write in Here". Once he realized he had to sign in the area above, he then signed his full name. Card measures 6" x 4". Toning, else near fine.
