Western Union telegram datelined ''New York NY'' at 10:30 PM on 6 November 1928 is addressed to Marguerite LeHand, FDR's personal secretary, in Warm Springs, Georgia. In full, ''Results in to New York still very close but I am aprarently [sic] holding my own [Al] Smith slightly behind me but still hoping to carry the state we will continue wire until midnight here stop wire me at the music room Biltmore upon receipt of this / Franklin D Roosevelt / 950P''. Telegram measures 8'' x 6.5''. Slight chipping to edges, overall in very good condition.
