"Lazarus Laughed" by Eugene O'Neill, signed. New York: Boni & Liveright: 1927. Limited edition, number 588 of 750 copies, is signed "Eugene O'Neill" on the limitation page. O'Neill's play, about Lazarus of the New Testament, calls for a masked chorus of more than a hundred actors, making it reminiscent of a Greek tragedy. It premiered in 1928. Light toning throughout 179pp. book; moderate toning and chipping to paper backstrip. Significant chipping and tape repair to original slipcase. Overall very good.
