Ernest Hemingway used bullfighting ticket from 9 August 1959. Hemingway wrote about his experiences at the bullfights in the summer of 1959 for a series of articles for Life magazine that would turn into Hemingway's final book ''The Dangerous Summer'', posthumously published in 1985. Ticket is part of a collection of items owned by Roberto Herrera Sotolongo, Hemingway's close friend and personal secretary when he lived in Havana, Cuba. Paper ticket lists the numbered section where Hemingway sat and is stamped by the venue. Ticket measures approximately 6'' x 2.5''. Part of ticket removed to gain entrance to event, also with punch hole. Very good condition.
