World-famous Italian opera singer Enrico Caruso hand-drawn caricature. Ink and watercolor portrait is a representation of Pietro Mascagni, opera composer and frontrunner of the Verismo movement in Italian opera. Caruso's signature role from ''Pagliacci,'' was incidentally the opera frequently paired with Mascagni's classic, ''Cavalleria Rusticana''. Caruso was also known to perform in Mascagni's popular ''Iris.'' Sketch is matted in white to an overall size of 10.5'' x 14.5'', with viewable area measuring 5'' x 7.25''.
