As stated in a note written by Enrico Caruso, Jr., the painting was done between 1915-1917 and depicts Dr. Mario P. Marafiote, laryngologist ''in Italian army uniform during 'the war to end all wars'''. Documentation is written on Enrico Caruso, Jr.'s personal stationery and envelope includes wax stamp with imprinted ''E''. Postcard measures 3.5'' x 5.75''. Minor wear and rounding of corners from age, overall very good condition.
