Edward Gorey signed limited first edition of ''Light Metres'', also signed by the author Felicia Lamport. New York: Everest House, 1982. This copy is letter ''C'', one of the very rare ''lettered'' first limited editions of which only 26 copies exist, much rarer than the numbered limited editions of which 350 copies exist. The limited first edition contains an extra illustration by Gorey not found in the trade edition. Beautiful book of poetry brought visually to life by Gorey's illustrations is bound in oatmeal colored boards with gilt illustrations, and apple green endpapers. Contained in an apple green slipcase. Measures 5.875'' x 8.75''. Some sunning to slipcase, book itself is pristine. Overall near fine condition.
