Burroughs, the creator of Tarzan, signs ''Edgar Rice Burroughs'' under the signature of his son-in-law, actor James H. Pierce, who played the role of Tarzan for almost 30 years. Pierce inscribes the book to a Miss Acord at top. Bound in publisher's red cloth boards with black lettering, featuring frontispiece illustration by Studley O. Burroughs. Novel measures 5.25'' x 7.625'' and runs 318 pages. Light shelf wear with ''14'' written on spine (book is 14th in the Tarzan series) and slightly loose binding. Very good condition.
