Here, Eisenhower writes to his brother discussing Owen Clarke, who was being considered for Chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission: ''...The Owen Clarke case is a difficult one because of some bitter opposition that has made itself felt...he seems to me to be the best fitted man I have heard of for the job...'' Signed ''DE'' in black ink. Letter measures 7'' x 8.75'' on one page. Near fine.
