Charlie Duke signed lunar map, showing the Descartes region of the moon where Duke landed the Orion as the Lunar Module Pilot. Duke signs in black felt-tip, ''Charlie Duke / Apollo 16 LMP'', and also handwrites numerous lunar landmarks and memories of the mission, such as ''What a view from Cinco'', ''Our spacesuits became covered in moondust'' and much more. He also draws the routes that the Rover took on different EVAs. Large colorful map measures 44'' x 30''. Map is original from 1972, titled at bottom, ''Geological Map of Part of the Descartes Region of the Moon / Apollo 16 Pre-Mission Map''. Folds, overall near fine condition.
