Original hand-drawn sketch of Snoopy by Charles Schulz, drawn and signed upon the half-title page of ''Charles M. Schulz 40 Years Life and Art''. New York: Pharos Books, 1990 first edition, first printing. Rendered in black felt-tip, Schulz draws Snoopy with a heart next to him, inscribed ''For Wendy / with friendship - / Charles M. Schulz''. The large sketch of Snoopy measures approximately 5'' x 4.25'', with the coffee table book measuring 9.5'' x 12.75'' and housed in matching slipcase. Part biography, autobiography and comic book, ''40 Years Life and Art'' is a sweeping tribute to the ever popular ''Peanuts'' world, bound in publisher's silver boards and spanning 173 pages. Book and dust jacket are both in near fine condition.
