Poignant signed photo of astronauts chosen by NASA in 1978 as candidates for space travel. Of the 35 pictured here, three who signed the photo would go on to serve aboard the ill-fated Challenger space shuttle on 28 January 1986. They sign under their respective images, ''Ron McNair'', ''Judy Resnick'' and ''El Onizuka''. Photo is also signed by the following: ''Dan Brandenstein'', ''JO Creighton / F.P. [Fighter Pilot]'', ''Anna Lee Fisher'', ''Rick Hauck / U.S. Navy'', ''Steven A. Hawley'', ''Pinky Nelson'', ''Bob Stewart'', ''JD van Hoften'' and ''Don Williams''. Matte photo measures 8'' x 10''. Note to bottom reads ''LERC 10-22-79'', possibly indicating the date the photo was signed. NASA information on verso lists astronaut's names, also with a name tag sticker, possibly the original owner. Near fine condition.
