Carl Jung autograph postcard signed. Jung writes to his mentee, psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger, on a card postmarked 24 August 1942 from Bollingen, Switzerland. Jung appears to be comforting Scharf after an unsuccessful interview. Translated from German, Jung writes in full: ''Dear Miss! / Please accept my warmest thanks for your detailed report! First, you can never please all people, and secondly, I in particular cannot do that, and thirdly, all interviews are bad things because the interviewer does not understand any more than he is able to. However, I believe that it would be better, after all, to refuse all such interviews in future, even though I am sure that there are yet many more people like your ambulance station officer. / Thank you very much for the Leviathan text! It is a welcome complement to my alchemist. / I would be able to see you in Kusnacht on 1 September at 10:00 in the morning. / Best regards, / your devoted / J.'' Jung also handwrites the address portion of the card. Postcard measures 5.875'' x 4.125''. Light creasing and uniform toning, overall very good plus condition.
