Carl Jung autograph letter signed, writing to his mentee, the psychoanalyst Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger. From Saanen, Switzerland, Jung writes on his personal stationery on 19 May 1940, translated from the German in full, ''Dear Miss! / If I were you, I would just stay in Zurich. If I had been on my own and not responsible for a large family, including a very pregnant daughter-in-law, I would have remained there as well. As soon as the situation is a little less stressful, I will return again. I hope that this will soon be the case. For the time being, a great deal still needs to be done before everything is in order. However, I am barely able to do any academic work here. Therefore, I would urgently advise you not to do anything rash but rather to hold on to your position for as long as possible. I will let you know when I will be back. / With kind regards, your faithful C.G. Jung''. Single page measures 8.125'' x 5.875''. Shallow folds, overall near fine. Accompanied by original envelope handwritten by Jung.
