Upon his personal letterhead, Coolidge writes to his long-time supporter Thomas Cochran, who helped Coolidge get nominated for Vice President at the 1920 Republican convention. In full, ''My dear Mr. Cochran: - Mr. Bliss told me you were home. I had been waiting your return to send you a word of thanks for all your care of me. I want you to know how much I appreciate it. / Every time things look better something new breaks out. But I cannot see how their can be much left to happen now.
