Bernard Krigstein signed illustration from May 1961, done for the Columbia Records LP "Songs of the North & South (1861-1865)", performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Preliminary rough shows a Union soldier on the left, next to a Confederate soldier, both with bayonets drawn. Titled at bottom "Double portrait: two youths" and signed by Krigstein, "B. Krigstein" at lower left. Large pastel, ink and pencil illustration measures 16.75" x 13.5" on tracing paper attached by Krigstein to Bainbridge board measuring 23.75" x 18". Light creasing at edges, otherwise near fine condition. Accompanied by tear sheet of final LP cover.
