Berenice Abbott silver gelatin print of ''Apple, Supersight'', taken in 1940 when Abbott was taking precise and close-up photos deemed Supersight. Semi-glossy photo measures 17'' x 14.75'', with Abbott's Commerce Street stamp to verso. Some edgewear and minor creasing, overall in very good condition. Acquired by John Robert Tennant Sr., photographer for the Smithsonian's National Gallery of Art, and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and then by descent to consignor.
