Benito Mussolini autograph letter signed, dated 2 February 1928 when Mussolini served as Italian Prime Minister and also Duce of Fascism. In this letter to Finance Minister Giuseppe Volpi, Mussolini discusses taxes and making them ''enticing'' to pay. Letter on ''Head of Government'' stationery reads in full, ''Dear Volpi, This article, which I call to your attention, demonstrates that the question of the abolition of the tariff on domestic consumption (a remnant or residual from the Middle Ages) is now ripe for decision. / The other article also deserves to be read. In order to make paying taxes enticing, it's necessary to simplify. / Mussolini / 2 February 1928 - Year VI''. Single page letter measures 8'' x 10.75''. Small punch hole and light toning, otherwise near fine condition.
