BAFTA statue, issued by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, circa 1995. The most prestigious entertainment award in Great Britain is made of solid bronze, cast in the shape of a mask with one open eye. The back side of the mask features symbols of the atom and a screen, representing the mediums of film and television as envisioned by sculptor Mitzi Cunliffe. This statue was unawarded and given to one of the employees at the Woburn Metal Polishing and Plating Company, who were responsible for polishing the awards before they were delivered to the Academy. Mask measures 10.125'' in height and 5.5'' wide. Weighs 5 pounds, 10 ounces. Near fine condition.
