Toohio Hashimoto autograph letter signed, dated 17 January 1959, just over 17 years after Hashimoto participated in the bombing of Pearl Harbor as a pilot in the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. Hashimoto writes to an autograph seeker, in part, ''...I graduated from Command and Staff School on 19 December, and left Maxwell Air Force Base in the evening of the same day...My next assignment is not decided yet, but I have received the order to be attached to the Staff College, Japanese Air Force, during January as temporary duty. And I am introducing what I have learned in Command and Staff School to the instructors...Toohio Hashimoto''. Interestingly, Hashimoto infers that he trained in the United States after being an enemy combatant at Pearl Harbor. Two page letter measures 5.25'' x 8'' on bifolium stationery. Near fine condition.
