John Fox, Jr.'s novel was published in New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1931. This is number 215 in an edition limited to 512 copies. Fox's bestselling Civil War novel is illustrated in 16 color plates mounted within. Runs 322pp. Top edge gilt. Deckled leaves bound in blue cloth boards with a yellow grid pattern and off-white leather spine featuring gilt lettering. Measures 9'' x 11.25''. Some damp-staining to spine extending to front endpapers at hinge, else near fine.
