Archive of paperwork, scripts and handwritten notes from the early days of the ''Howdy Doody'' show, with handwritten notes from Bob Keeshan. Included in the lot are scripts from ten different episodes of Howdy Doody from 1949-1952, many with handwritten notes to verso, likely by Bob Keeshan. Eight of the ten scripts are early Xerox copies and two are typed on delicate paper. Xerox scripts include those from: (1) 15 December 1949 - runs 10pp. and includes a handwritten note in pencil to verso, ''Must Be Up At 7:30 Have A Show At 9:30 Dad - Wake Me 1 1/2 HRS Before You''. (2) 7 January 1952 - runs 16pp. with handwritten notes in pencil to verso reading in part, ''...Rabbit in Box & Hat / Giant & Dwarf...Clarabell...'' (3) 10 October 1950 - runs 10pp. (4) 13 October 1950 - runs 12pp. (5) 17 July 1950 - runs 8pp. with 4pp. of handwritten notes in pencil to verso. (6) 28 December 1949 - runs 9pp. legal size with 1pp. handwritten numerical notations to verso. (7) 9 December 1949 - runs 8pp. with handwritten note in pencil to verso ''Catherine - Call me before you leave - I want to speak to you. Robert''. (8) 16 November 1949 - runs 13pp. with a handwritten note to verso in ink, ''Alan Stone Costume / Bambergers' Pictures / 25 Special...'' (9) Script on two sheets of delicate parchment paper, dated 11 April 1949 with ''Clarabell'' handwritten in blue ink to upper right. (10) Script on three sheets of delicate parchment paper, dated 18 May 1949 with ''Clarabell'' handwritten in blue ink to top right of one sheet, ''CB'' in pencil to top right of another and other ink and pencil notations to verso of third sheet. Lot is accompanied by a single sheet of Keeshan's personal stationery with photos of him as Corny the Clown and Tinker The Toymaker. Toning and creasing, else near fine.
