From Paris circa 1843, de Vigny recommends a young actor to Taylor, in French translated in part, ''...There comes to me a young actor who...appears to me in the position and in the costume of the Prodigal Son. He has a pretty face, he is very young and he would be easy for you, my dear Taylor, to have him begin somewhere and live until he starts working. See in your charity and your universality if you do not find him any resource...This poor boy is named Emile Giliotte and said himself that he come from Brussels...'' He then gives his address as ''6 rd Stables Artois''. Two page letter on card-style bifolium stationery measures 10.5'' x 8.25''. Folds, else near fine. Published in de Vigney's correspondence on page 214.
