Abraham Lincoln military appointment signed as President during the Civil War, appointing Alvin Walker as Additional Paymaster of Volunteers on 11 March 1862. Lincoln elegantly signs with his full signature ''Abraham Lincoln'' at lower right, countersigned by Secretary of War Edwin Stanton. Document measures 13.5'' x 17.5'', with intact turquoise paper seal and military vignettes. Document mounted to board and signature a bit light, otherwise very good condition.
