Dated 1 September 1955, one month before Captain Kangaroo first aired, this typed letter signed to Keeshan reads in part ''...this morning's papers carry the announcement of your good fortune...doubtless you know that Eddie and Allan and I were in competition with you for this spot, and we all of us want you to know that if we were to be bested, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy...'' 1pp. measuring 8.5'' x 11'' on Stone business letterhead with accompanying envelope.
