Partially-printed invitation reads in full, ''The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by The Queen to invite Mr. Mrs. and the Misses Backhouse to an Evening Party on Friday the 20th of May at 1/2 past 9 o'Clock. / Buckingham Palace / Frock Dress / (Music)''. Measures 7'' x 5''. Uniform toning and minor stain and notations to verso including ''1842'', the year of her assassination attempt just five years into her reign. Very good.
