Award given to Ed Sullivan from the Catholic Youth Organization Diocese of Brooklyn. Award features raised, ornate metal crown on a wood plaque, presented on 6 May 1955 at the ''NINTH ANNUAL C.Y.O. TALENT SHOW AT THE BROOKLYN ACADEMY OF MUSIC''. Plaque goes on to read, ''IN RECOGNITION AS AN OUTSTANDING CATHOLIC GENTLEMEN'', and honors Sullivan's beloved CBS show, ''Toast of the Town'' (commonly referred to as ''The Ed Sullivan Show''). Backside has metal chain for hanging. Measures 11'' x 14'' x 1.5'' and weighs 7 lbs. Some wear to metal crown, minor wear to plaque, overall very good condition.
