Mary Astor autograph letter signed, dated 5 February 1957 to her agent Gloria Safier. Letter reads in part: ''...Have I been having a ball! All the fun of being in a hit show without the dreary prospect of a long run! We close Saturday, and I feel refreshed, rather than exhausted...I want to make the dough so that I can have time to write, to get a place by myself, etc. The therapy goes on and it is no longer painful...I feel I have been built into different material -- like a skyscraper which sways with the wind, instead of rigidly taking punishment...'' 2pp. letter is signed ''Mary'' and measures 6.5'' x 8.5''. Safier's response on thin blue paper is stapled to letter and an additional typed letter from Georgia Gilly, a colleague of Safier's, is included. Very good.
