Very rare piece of fabric from the ''Spirit of St. Louis'', accompanied by a signed photograph of Charles Lindbergh, signed just after completing his record-breaking transatlantic flight. Photograph is signed ''To George Wingay / With best wishes / Charles A. Lindbergh / June 3, 1927'', Lindbergh's last day in Paris before flying back to the United States after his transatlantic flight. Sepia photo measures 8'' x 11'', with photographer's signature ''47 rue Dumont d'Urville G.L. Manuel Freres'' in lower white margin. Photo is affixed to an 8.75'' x 12'' studio mat and matted with a piece of fabric from the ''Spirit of St. Louis'', measuring .5'' square inches, four 7.5'' x 6'' photographs of Lindbergh and two identification plaques. Framed to an overall size of 39'' x 35.5''. With a COA from University Archives.
