National Hockey League Hall of Fame induction crest given to Bill Gadsby in 1970. Embroidered crest depicts a torch with the flame resembling a Canadian leaf, as the NHL was founded in Montreal in 1917. A yellow ribbon frames the bottom and reads, ''HOCKEY HALL OF FAME''. The 3'' x 4'' crest sits in framed glass measuring 7.5'' x 7.5''. Plaque on the bottom edge reads, ''W.A. 'BILL' GADSBY / ELECTED JUNE 1970''. Gadsby played for the Chicago Black Hawks, the New York Rangers and the Detroit Red Wings from 1946-1966, and was a first team all-star 3 times and a second team all-star 4 times. Comes with signed LOA from Gadsby. Chipping to frame, otherwise near fine condition.
