Large World War I poster by artist Milton Bancroft, calling for volunteer student nurses. Published by John H. Eggers Co. of New York in 1917, poster shows a young woman underneath the call, ''Wanted 25000 Student Nurses'' in red. Poster was issued by the Woman's Committee of the Council of National Defense. Large monochromatic poster accented by red font measures 28'' x 42''. Creasing, and mild chipping mostly along edges, with a few closed tears measuring approximately 1'' on left side. Very good plus condition.
