U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Warren Burger signed copy of ''United States v. Nixon'', which held that President Richard Nixon's Watergate tapes were not protected by Executive Privilege and that he must turn them over to the Special Prosecutor. Burger authored this unanimous decision, ruling against the President who appointed him to the high court. Burger inscribes the cover page, ''For Marry Ann Harrell with appreciation / Warren E. Burger''. Harrell authored ''Equal Justice Under the Law'', a history of the U.S. Supreme Court. 31pp. booklet measures 5.75'' x 9''. Light toning, otherwise near fine. Burger rarely signs Supreme Court decisions, especially this one regarding Watergate.
