Black patent leather handbag circa 1960, owned by the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson with her cypher embroidered in gilt on the front underneath a decorative crown. Embellished with a bamboo bar and with interior lined in black grosgrain. Bag measures approximately 10.25'' x 7.5'' not including bamboo and strap. Light wear, overall very good condition. Part of lot 2239 from the 1997 Sotheby's sale of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's personal property, with the original Sotheby's lotting tag.
