Black patent handbag personally owned by Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor. High-gloss bag features an applied gold tone metal decoration over the clasp and matching bamboo-shaped handle that retracts to transform the bag into a large clutch. Purse by Koret brand is marked inside with the brand name and logo and noted, ''Not A Leather'', with an additional note inside the flap. Very good to near fine condition. Originally part of lot 2242 of Sotheby's ''The Duke and Duchess of Windsor'' sale, held 11-19 September 1997.
