Vincent Price's personally owned script for Michael Jackson's music video ''Thriller'', a cultural phenomenon when it debuted, in part due to Price's famous narration and sinister laugh at the end. Script runs 7pp. on 7 sheets, beginning with ''Door Open / Wind Blowing / Footsteps / Wolf Sounds''. Lyrics from the song follow until page 6, where Price's dialogue is found, under which Price handwrites, ''Now that's class'', apparently pleased with the writing. His dialogue continues on the next page, ending with ''For no mere mortal can resist / The evil of the Thriller / -Vincent Breaks''. Price's other handwritten notes include an observation on page 4 about a visit by the rock star Prince, writing, ''Just had Prince here at the hotel. They told me he always came in and went out the back way. I wouldn't know him if I ran over him - he's too new.'' At this time in 1983, Prince had released ''1999'', but ''Purple Rain'' wouldn't be released until 1984. Price also writes on page 5 a bit about working with Michael Jackson, hinting that he wasn't immediately sold on narrating the video; written in a different colored pen, this is obviously a later observation after filming: ''Just to show you I'm not an old-fashioned ham actor - a couple seasons ago I undertook a rock recording - everyone kidded me about it, but when it hit #1 on the charts and sold over 50 million albums - they sang a different tune - as I did - Michael Jackson.'' Price makes some later notes on the verso of page 6 about a college reunion, and then his last handwritten note on page 4 references the lyrics to ''Thriller'', ''Not all poetry is that serious. Some is lighter.'' Script measures 8.5'' x 11''. Light toning and wear, but overall in very good plus condition. With an LOA from Victoria Price, Vincent Price's daughter.
