Vic Hanson certificate from his induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The prodigiously talented Hanson played basketball, football and baseball at Syracuse, serving as team captain in all 3 sports. Hanson was a 3-time basketball All-American, a 2-time football All-American and played in the ABA before coaching the Syracuse football team for 7 seasons. Most notably, Hanson is the only player in history to be elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame. Certificate is dated 26 April 1960 and reads in full: ''The Basketball Hall of Fame / CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION / Victor Hanson / COLLEGE ALL-AMERICAN, SYRACUSE '27 / has been elected by the Honors Committee to the / Basketball Hall of Fame / as player''. Measures 8'' x 10''. Near fine condition.
