Stan Laurel typed letter signed with his full name ''Stan Laurel''. Dated 27 September 1961, Laurel writes a few interesting anecdotes about working with Oliver Hardy in their comedy shorts. Letter reads in part, ''...During Mr Hardy's career his weight varied from around 275 lbs & up, mine was from I65 to I75. When we returned fro our tours Abroad in '54, Mr Hardy was 360 lbs. / Its very difficult to say which film I liked best - its like asking someone with I2 kids, which they like best.! / The ear wiggling gag was done with threads attached to the back of the ears & the use of a slow speed on the camera...[signed] Stan Laurel''. Single page measures 5.5'' x 8.5'' on Oceana Apartment Hotel stationery. Folds, else near fine. With original mailing envelope.
