Laurel writes to his friend Bill Brown on 27 August 1963 in part, ''...have'nt heard of the film 'Days of Thrills & Laughter' starring L&H - thats a new one to me...Have no idea who actually were the first group of 'Keystone Cops' so many of them thru' the years...I first met Marcel Marceau in Paris in I950. his great talent impressed me very much. I was responsible in getting him some appearances in London, which he made a wonderful success & brought him to notice - since then he never looked back...Yes, 'A Night in an English Music Hall' was the show we did in Winnipeg...Pictures made during the L&H tours Abroad are all packed away in storage...adios mi amigo.!...[signed] Stan Laurel''.
