Edie Bouvier Beale autograph letter signed, ''Edie B''. Letter to Ms. Janet Hosking in New York is dated 30 July [1980] and reads in part, ''...Loved your card. You always sent me such wonderful ones at 'Grey Gardens'...The volcano has ruined the weather here...I have to go to NYC soon to hunt for an apartment for this winter! I have too much to do to head for Florida - besides Miami's tip has riots! Hope we meet in the near future''. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope bearing Beale's return address at Henry St. in South Hampton, NY. Single-page letter is written in black ink on a sheet of blush color ruled stationery with pink floral design at the bottom. Measures 5.75'' x 7.75''. Folds, otherwise near fine.
