Scarce and collectible copy of Truman Brewery's ''The Black Eagle Magazine / Truman's No.s 1 to 5, Vol. 1'' printed by Truman, Hanbury, Buxton, & Co., Ltd.: London: 1929. This compilation, issued by the company only to its employees, includes articles on the London's brewer's methods of crafting its beer with photos of the brewing method, its staff and advertising materials. A mainstay of English culture, Truman's Brewery began in 1666 and re-opened in 2010 after closing its doors in 1989. Green leather boards have gilt lettering and design. Measures 7.25'' x 9''. Minor scuffing, light toning and soiling to endpapers, else near fine.
