Sal Mineo autograph letter signed on a color postcard during the height of his career, just as ''Rebel Without a Cause'' was debuting on movie screens throughout the country. Addressed to his cousin Nancy Harlowe in New York, postcard features an image of the Griffith Observatory, the location of the famous climactic scene in ''Rebel Without a Cause'', where Mineo's character ''Plato'' hides from the police before being shot to death. His note, postmarked 2 November 1955 reads, ''...I'm just about finished with 'Crime + the Streets'. I'll be in NY for 'Goodyear Playhouse', goes on Dec. 4. I hope to see you then. Regards, Sal Mineo.'' Mineo was murdered in Los Angeles in 1976 at the age of 37. Measures 5.5'' x 3.5''. Some cracking and creasing. Very good.
