Ruth Warrick dress worn in the classic film ''Citizen Kane'', as displayed at Disney World as part of American Film Institute's ''100 Years 100 Movies'' exhibit. Warrick played Charles Foster Kane's first wife Emily Norton Kane, and wears this dress when the staff of Kane's newspaper sees her for the first time. Designed by Academy Award winning costume designer Edward Stevenson, light brown wool two-piece dress includes a short jacket with chocolate velvet collar and gathered sleeves, and long matching vent-pleated skirt. Jacket contains production label reading ''CP-3-8 R.Warrick'' and ''1904'', the year in which Warrick's character wears the dress in the movie. Skirt is labeled ''CP-3-7 Warrick''. Jacket measures 13'' across the chest and 13'' across the waist. From the Debbie Reynolds auction at Profiles in History, and originally owned by MGM.
