President Richard Nixon signed first edition, first printing of his political tome ''The Real War'' published by Warner Books: New York: 1980. Nixon signs just his name to the half title page: ''Richard Nixon''. Authored by Nixon five years following his resignation, he writes that World War III between the U.S. and the Soviet Union has begun: ''We are at war.'' Runs 341pp. Bound in red cloth boards with silver lettering to spine and embossed title to front board. Pictorial endpapers feature a map of the Americas to the front and of Europe, Africa, and Asia to the rear. Measures 6.25'' x 9.5''. Includes original unclipped dustjacket with $12.50 price intact. Light chipping to dustjacket, which is very good. Book itself is very good to near fine.
