President John F. Kennedy official White House press release dated 18 April 1961. From the office of the White House Press Secretary, release details the appointment of Gerald Shea to the Fine Arts Committee, and also the appointment of a Fine Arts Advisory Committee. Reads in part, ''This Committee was formed by Mr. Henry du Pont and includes Directors and Curators of some of the leading museums and galleries in the United States...'' One page document measures 8.5'' x 11''. Chipping and tears along right edge, and foxing and staple mark. Good condition.
