Pope John Paul II signed Bible in German, comprising both the Old and New Testaments. The Pope signs his name in Latin upon the front free endpaper, ''Johannes Paulus PP II / 19. 11. 1980.'' Pope John Paul II signed this Bible on 19 November 1980 on his return German Lufthansa flight from Munich to Rome after the conclusion of his historic trip to Germany. The Bible's recipient was a flight attendant to the Cardinals, with whom the Pope spent much of his time on the flight. Book measures 6.5'' x 8.5''. Light shelf wear, otherwise near fine condition.
