Signed on the title page in blue ballpoint, ''For Richard, / Gary S. Becker''. Bound in illustrated boards with no jacket as issued, book measures 6.375'' x 9.5'' and runs 222pp. As one of the most influential economists of the latter half of the 20th century, Becker won the Nobel Prize in 1992 for melding the worlds of social science and economic theory together. His work has inspired the book ''Freakonomics''. Some sunning to spine and light wear, else near fine.
