Robert Ripley typed letter signed as Cartoonist and Sports Editor for the Associated Newspapers. This appears to be an acceptance letter from the ''Ripley's Believe It or Not'' creator to Mr. Roger Metcalf. Upon Associated Newspapers, New York stationery, letter dated 28 February 1929 reads in full: ''Dear Mr. Metcalf: Thanx for the suggestions that you sent in. It is very interesting and you will soon see it depicted in many newspapers. I appreciate your interest / Believe It or Not / [signed in black ink] Ripley''. The very next year, Ripley expanded his influential syndicated column into a radio show. 1pp. measures 8.5'' x 11''. Creasing and some staining. Very good.
