A line contemporaneously written across the top reads: ''In the Name and on the Behalf of His Majesty''. Slip measures 7.75'' x 3.25'' and was once part of a letters patent document, as evidenced by the text on verso. Toning, with bottom edge irregularly trimmed, else near fine.
